The purpose of counseling is to assist you in making simple yet a radical shift in your approach to managing and coping with stress, anxiety, and negative feelings and thoughts. With the support of counseling, you can begin to practice and step out of negative habits of thought and begin to pay attention to your thoughts and feelings with an on-purpose, mindful approach toward having more positive moment-to-moment thoughts, feelings, and body sensations.

Mindfulness is a practice of being aware of yourself in the moment. Meditations can help you practice regulating your body. Choosing to engage in prayer/meditation practice 3-5 days a week has been proven to lower high blood pressure, cortisol levels, cholesterol, and overall symptoms associated with stress and tension.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is found in the hemp plant and is also naturally produced in the body.  Quality CBD oil can activate natural internal healing mechanisms throughout the body in the brain, central nervous system, immune system, and epidermis. CBD supplements works with our bodies to help restore and maintain homeostasis and balance. Quality pharmaceutical grade CBD oil does not contain THC nor is it considered to be an illicit/illegal drug. In fact, in 2003 it was patented by the United States Government as a neuroprotectant and antioxidant.  The federal farm bill in April of 2019 has authorized it's use in all 50 states. 

**A good rule of thumb for proper dosage of CBD is to begin with 1-2 mg of CBD per 10 lbs. of body weight. (i.e. an person weighing 150 lbs a good beginning dosage would be 25 mg). Depending on your tolerance and symptomology, dosing may vary for each individual.  Following guidelines on packaging for proper usage.
